Contemporary gospel music has seen a steady rise over a period of time in Ghana. Current artiste are working hard and giving the genre good recognition on the music scene.

Nevertheless, the wrong perception of some individuals about the main art form of contemporary gospel music, Rap possess some challenges. There is a general misconception that most people who do the musical art form of Rap do not exhibit exemplary character and may not be good role models for the youth

In a bid to change this misconception, Riben Concepts and Coomstar Music, with support from Sweet Melodies FM, Stenabs Music and GHAMRO presents the “Edifying Music Festival 2017” slated for Saturday 22nd April 2017 at Methodist University College Ghana (Dansoman Campus)

The event is in 2 parts. There will be a Free Music Seminar / Training in the morning of the event date at 11:00am where participants will be trained on music writing, production and performance skills, how to use the copyright system in Ghana to earn money and education on applying urban gospel music to evangelism / soul winning.

In the evening of the same day at 6:00pm, there will be the main contemporary gospel concert which will see Spirit filled artistes such as Kojo Abare (Host), Teddy Macarious, Psalm 1, Acapela De Burner, Edy C Radio and others.

It is our hope that God will use this music festival as an instrument of his salvation and praise to the glory of His Holy Name…..in Jesus name. Amen.
