Should Christian Rappers mention secular artists in their lyrics?

Lyrical excellence demandsalot from the artist. One of the key signs of a good lyricist is their punchlines. I have heard a few Christian Rappers refer to secular artists in their quests to create theperfect punchline. Eg. My God is BIG, notorious BIG, flow so sick, I need a Dr Dre etc.I am trying to see the relevance in such style. Is this necessary? Do we have to make reference to secular artists in our songs at all?

What do you think?
