Being a Christian isn't about getting rich or getting a breakthrough! (@jaysmoke)Blog
Contrary to popular beliefs, being a Christian is so much more than what we are taught in our churches. Life on earth is just a temporary and knowing this truth will radically alter your values and fix your attention on the things that are eternally important. As C. S. Lewis observed, "All that is not eternal is eternally useless." And King Solomon will once say that "everything is vanity"
It is a fatal mistake to assume that God's goal for your life is material prosperity or popular success, as the world defines it. The abundant life has nothing to do with material abundance. Faithfulness to God does not guarantee success in a career or even in ministry. Paul was faithful, yet he ended up in prison. John the Baptist was faithful, but he was beheaded. Millions of faithful people have been martyred, have lost everything, or have come to the end of life with nothing to show for it.
Don't ever focus on these temporary glories and think that's what serving God is about. Christianity is about making disciples, depopulating hell and populating heaven, everything you get whilst on this earth is not a 'THANK YOU' from God, it's to help you accomplish your purpose including Children.
