This here and the lack of it, is the root cause of everything evil in this world. From the first sin to every sin we commit, is deeply rooted in lack of contentment in what God has blessed us with and the craving for more or what others have.

Brother Paul put it this way

[7] For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. [8] And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. [9] But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. ‭‭I Timothy 6:7-9 NKJV‬‬

In this age of materialism, it's next to impossible to live a minimalist lifestyle. We want everything. We want more money, more clothes, more shoes, more cars, more food, more houses, more more more. 

Tupac once said, it makes no sense for one man to live in a 50 bedroom house whilst there are homeless people on these streets. And I honestly believe it's why Jesus said it will be easier for a camel to enter the eye of a needle than for a rich person to go to heaven. There's just no justification for one man to have $50 billion in his account whilst millions have zero. It makes absolutely no Christian sense. 

The key to happiness is being ok with what God has given you. N trusting Him for what's to come. 

I pray "Lord, I only want what You want for me. Like the apostle Paul, help me to be content in every circumstance, in Jesus name. Amen."
