The highly anticipated Urban Gospel event of the year, OneMyke Session: Jesus Rocks concert, went down last Friday 28th Dec at the Xfm Lounge, Osu and your team at JCCafe were there to bring you all the pics and more.

The event kicked started at 7pm on the dot with some live praise and worship led by the all so talented Mr JayShady. He brought down the heavens and by the time he was done, you could feel the presence of God in the house.

Unfortunately, JaySmoke (Founder/CEO: RepJesus Entertainment), who was recently involved in a fatal bike accident, wasn't fit enough to hold it down on the ones and twos so his sidekick, Sir Parson took up the pressure intensive task. I must say, even with all the pressure and commotion, he did well for a first timer.

The event, which saw many artists, new and old, rock the mic on stage, was emceed by Mr George Addo of Universe FM and overall I simply cannot wait for the next session happening on the last Friday of January and the last Friday of the consequent months.

Even with all that said, there were a few challenges though which I feel need to be addressed before the next event. Due to lack of enough mics, the artists had to be exchanging the only mic available at the time which really affected performance.

Also realized that the room temperature was very hot...not sure if the AC's in the room weren't working or the room was just too small to accommodate everyone who came around. At one point, the organization was disrupted, I think this was due to some performers showing up late and demanding to perform.

I think the organizers need to have a better grip on the program line up and what to do in cases such as aforementioned. All in all, it was an exquisite night filled with fun, excitement and I believe everybody who came there had a great time.
