Recently Lecrae and his friends at Reach Records have come under constant criticisms that they have considered singing up to Jay Z’s Rock-A- Fella,they recently held a press conference to clear the air, and this what Lecrae Moore had this to say “They are supposed to say what happened here? And I would say, let me tell you what God did and so for anyone of us, if we were given the opportunity to be on a label such as Jay’s which is known traditional for making hip pop artiste successful, we would say no, because we don’t want it to look like men did this, we want people to see clearly that God did something, that this wasn’t men putting together the right things we want people to distinct between what men have done and what God has done. Secondly, in terms of the whole me signing the Jay Z thing is just how rumors get out of control. A hip pop blog columnist wrote that Jay Z was trying to sign a Positive group that turned him done, and so they began a campaign to find out who they would sign next and my name came up, which doesn’t mean that Jay Z was considering signing me, it just means this is what the editor of the hip pop magazine decided what name. For all I know I have not had any meetings with Rock- A-Fella-Records, JayZ has not called my phone and even if he did I would be honest with u, I would say this isn’t something I would not do and we constantly are trying to carefully consider the decisions we make so that at the end it wouldn’t be like look at what we did or look at what Reach did or look at what they did but ultimately we want people to look back and say clearly God did this”.
