Last sunday was an exciting night on JCCafe. We had a funtastic show with two of Ghana's urban Gospel groups coming through to premiere their latest works. The Hiphop Artist of the Year 2012 at the last Gospel Music Awards Event in Italy, Royal Priesthood, were in the building to release their current single titled 'Praise Anthem' ft an international christian hiphop emcee, 5ive from the USA. If you know anything about these guys, you will know that this isn't new to them. Their last single, His Joy, which also featured an international artist, Ken Ken, was chart topping on our top 5 GH Gospel countdown and stayed at no1 for more than 5 weeks. Their latest single, Praise Anthem, which can now be downloaded for free on our downloads page, has a very hard, hiphop, thumping beat, which would drive home the message Royal Priesthood is trying to paint whilst still getting the listeners to nod their head and get their dancing shoes on. Apart from the release of their new single, Royal Priesthood used the opportunity to thank their fans for their support and also to celebrate their recent award with the JC Cafe crew. Also featured that evening was a new group on the scene, Scrojahs, which was formed by Natty Ogli. The group was in the building to premiere their very first debut single titled 'The Blood'. A very cool, matured track featuring three of the five group members ie Natty, Major Cone and Daniel Quartey who was said to be going back to school (UK) that same evening so we had a little get together to bid him farewell. It was a fun night, filled with lots of love and laughter. Watchout for a special, exclusive interview with Natty Ogli talking about Scrojahs and their mission.
